Today's my first day seeing Tod Slaughter, England's drooling, cackling poverty row horror star. These broad melodramas are like staged spook shows. Even Ed Wood said they were bad (but loved them). Three finales here.

What! You've never seen "Sweeney Todd, the Demon Barber of Fleet Street"? Channel 5 used to run that one as a 2 AM chiller for quite a few years in the 1960s and 70s. Tod Slaughter had a great laugh, he was a right jolly old elf. Thanks for the links to some of his other cinema.
