BOOKS!

This summer has been good to me bookwise. Here are a few acquisitions...

Got in trade for $2 credit over the weekend. Covers just about off, held together with aging tape. Undated. Title translates as "Friend of the Cougar", meaning a friend you DON'T need. I like the look and feel of the cosmopolitan, "adult" Latin cartoonists.

This one is copyrighted 1956 by Minneapolis-Honeywell Regulation Co. Industrial cartooning.

You find the most amazing stuff! I'd love to see some the adult cartoonist stuff. Friends you don't need!

The last thing we need is another nail salon (or tattoo parlor) to take over a spot adequate for a book store.

We're sure going to miss the Brand Bookstore here in Glendale when they close, which is going to be soon. I wonder, Milton, do you have time to READ all the books you buy? I've just about stopped buying books, because I'm such a slow reader I'll never read all the books I have NOW.

Oh, yes, Mark. Of course, the visuals are why I have almost all of them. They're easy to absorb.

Many of the items here were gotten in trade. I'm sorry to hear about the Brand. Truth be told, I don't know if I bought anything there.
