DON'T ABUSE YOUR KIDS

I've been wondering all day why the whole situation of an abusive father (and an enabling mother) had to happen. KIDS DO NOT FORGET. All sorts of triggers were set that later made me hurt my own life personally and professionally. And I didn't even know what would set them off. At age 52 (at least 40 years of therapy) later, I'm coming out from under it, but still wake up saying "Why??" out loud.
